Trump's insane management of American politics is simply a manifestation of where America's mindset has been for decades. Our way or the highway. Well, America, we're all on that highway now, and you're welcome to wander aimlessly on the backroads for the next few decades.

But some are kicking back...

Whatever their investment in Trump and monkey-wrenching the 2016 election was, the Russians are certainly getting more than their money's worth.

Now Germany (I repeat: GERMANY) is saying Europe can no longer rely on Trump's America.

During the campaign trail, Trump told Hillary during a debate between the two that if he became president, he'd appoint a special investigation into her wrongdoings.

Now he's got just that.

Belt and Road Initiative: China Plans $1 Trillion New ‘Silk Road’

It's got all in this plan: ports, power plants, power grids, telecommunications networks, roads, railways, bridges, transport hubs, transport manufacturing (train/ship builders) etc.

This must end well...

I really don't think these House Republicans understand at all the struggles and needs of most Americans. Before ACA, they never introduced any effective legislation, and preferred to pretend that health care was a non-issue. Finally, there was a bill trying to deal with pre-existing conditions, find affordable solutions for millions of uninsured people, and even started working on costs. It was nowhere close to perfect of course, it had flaws.

But, make no mistake, the Republicans have only made the issue of obtaining affordable health care worse here...

Scientists, Stop Thinking Explaining Science Will Fix Things

Short version: Spend less time explaining how something works and more time explaining why people should care. (Or perhaps speak more simply so Trump Supporters can understand). ;-)

By the way, this comes timely, as NdGT had a short 4-minute video the other day, which he claims contains the "most important words he has ever said", and is about science in America:

HERE.

As for the issue at hand...

For Nicola Sturgeon, a second Scottish independence referendum is win-win

"If Downing Street agrees to hold it, Yes start as favourites. If Theresa May blocks a vote, the nationalists' big argument is only strengthened."

It's kind of sad that Scotland has to resort to threats with secession in order to have its arguments heard in London...
