Obama: Russia proposal for Syria 'positive development' -- if it's real
So, Putin has moved a pawn to the fore, and occupied the middle with a smart (?) move. His white-knight Lavrov has been working out a deal with Assad to give up Syria's chemical weapons as we speak. And Assad has welcomed the move, saying his regime would use every way possible to prove they weren't responsible for the attack in the Damascus 'burbs.
