Kate, William, and GraceThe Daily Beast's Cheat Sheet posted a photo of Kate Middleton and Prince William kissing earlier today — originally taken by Matt Dunham of the AP.
Tom Evans, an online editor at UK-based MSN Him was one of many others to tweet out the photo as well, writing: "Surely this is the best Royal Wedding photo of the day, and will appeal to both fans and non-fans."
At the bottom left corner of the photo, one of the flower girls is holding her ears and scowling.
In other words, the ideal recipe for an internet meme:
The image is media-relevant and ironic. The subject — Grace Van Cutsem, the 3-year-old godchild of William, daughter of his good friend Hugh van Cutsem and a descendant of the Astor family — is a small child. Thus, she falls into the same recipe category as baby penguins or kittens. Plus, she's totally unselfconscious.
