luzribeiroWhether at work or at home, or on the street, or in school, or in life as a whole - it's important to have an opinion and a position, to think and act, without listening too much to the things people say about ourselves behind our back.
So here's a parable.
A father and a son bought a horse. The next day they took the horse and went through the village. The father said,
"Son, you go mount the horse and I will walk".
When the villagers saw them, they said,
"Look, what a disrespectful son! His father goes by foot and he's riding a horse!"
The next day the father mounted the horse and the son walked. The villagers were heard saying,
"What kind of father is this? His boy goes by foot and he rides a horse!"
On the third day they both rode on the horse. The villagers yapped again,
"These people have no mercy, they're gonna exhaust this horse to death!"
On the fourth day both father and son walked beside the horse. The villagers:
"Hahaha! Look at those dumbfucks! They've got a horse, and yet they go by foot! Hahaha..."
On the next day, the horse just collapsed from all this torture, and died.
Then the father turned to his son, and said,
"You see, my son, what happens when you listen too much to what people say? You'll end up like the horse".
And they walked on in sadness.
