How do you call the following syndrome? You go to someone who's been known as one of the best professionals in their field, and expect a good service. You soon realize they're in no way a good professional. But you keep going to them, just because most people keep going there, and they insist he's one of the best professionals. You're not happy at all with the service, but you still keep going, and you tell everybody who inquires about your impression that this is indeed the best professional in their field.

Is there a name for this (apart from "plain dumb")?
